School Age
Starting school is a major milestone for children and parents. It is fun and stressful at times for students and parents.
At school, children have some of their greatest challenges and successes. Learning how the world works, meeting new people, moving from preschool to elementary school, and up through the grades, teaches them about their own strengths, weaknesses, interests, and more.
Children with learning differences/disabilities have the right to learn in their neighborhood school with their friends and siblings.

ALL children have the right to an education in the least restricted environment. Some students need specialized instruction or extra help and support to reach their academic goals. To support their educational needs, an Individualized Education Program (IEP) is developed, providing specialized instruction and related services tailored to each student's unique needs.
Planning and ensuring your child receives a good education involve many things. Below are some resources to get you started.
