Digital literacy is all about understanding and feeling comfortable with today's technology. It is so important because we learn, apply for jobs, stay socially connected, and more through technology.
Unfortunately, for many reasons, people with disabilities are three times more likely to not go online than people without disabilities. The Arc and AT&T have collaborated to create safe and accessible digital skills trainings that accommodate the different learning styles of people with developmental disabilities.
Access Training Online
Training sessions are offered online free of charge and available 24/7 to complete at your own pace. Modules cover a range of topics, including:
- Getting started with a computer
- Introduction to email
- Navigating a website
- Using a mobile device
- Online safety, passwords, fraud, and scams
- And more

The Arc of the United States adapted the Digital Literacy curriculum specifically for people with developmental disabilities, and we offer
live, virtual trainings to groups across Virginia. Each session delivers
beginner-friendly, practical learning on topics from the Digital Literacy Series—bringing
tailored, engaging instruction directly to your community.
