About Me:
Hello, my name is Hailey, and I live in Ashburn, Virginia. I am 26 years old and the mother of two beautiful little girls aged 5 and 3 on top of being a student of psychology at Northern Virginia Community College.
Hobbies & Interests:
My interests include reading, animals, and beauty. When it comes to mentoring skills and my experience as a mentor, I feel that living with cerebral palsy has provided me with a valuable insight into how individuals with disabilities often face challenges unique to our community.
Mentor Skills
I have the ability to listen to an individual's needs and desires and come up with a resolution in a non-confrontational manner. Mentoring skills I possess are active listening, the ability to empathize with an individual, and communicate in a direct understanding manner. In addition to giving feedback in a non-judgmental, objective point of view.
Areas of Expertise
I have experience working with children with Down syndrome, autism various psychiatric disorders. My oldest daughter has ADHD, ODD, ID, and anxiety. These disabilities make socializing slightly more difficult for her, and I’m constantly coming up with ways to work around her disabilities.
