Catalyst for Change Awards


These awards are given every year at convention to community members or organizations whose actions have sparked significant advancements in the developmental disability civil rights movement.


We recognize advocates, educators, employers, media or anyone working to create change and make significant impacts in our community. 


Multiple awards in this category may be given. 


Howard Cullum ALLY Advocacy Award


The membership of The Arc of Virginia established this award in 2015, to acknowledge a community member who embodies leadership, courage, commitment, passion and perseverance in advocacy.
