About Me:
Matthew Shapiro graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in December 2013 with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree with components in sociology, psychology, public policy, and special education. Because of his life experience of being born with Cerebral Palsy, he always knew he wanted to work in the disability space.
Hobbies & Interests:
In his free time, he enjoys learning about politics, watching sports, and hanging out with his dog, VP.
Mentor Skills
In December 2014, Matthew started 6 Wheels Consulting LLC to make this dream a reality. The mission of 6 Wheels is to make the world more accessible and inclusive for all people through consulting initiatives, public speaking programs, and lobbying work in the Virginia General Assembly.
Areas of Expertise
In addition to his lobbying and consulting business, Mathew has served the disability community through involvement in various organizations and initiatives. Mathew interned at both The White House in Engagement and Governmental Affairs and The Virginia General Assembly.
