Jumoke Akinrimisi is the Access & Engagement Specialist for the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. In her current role, she serves to create and implement

strategies that ensure equitable access to information, resources, and support services

for everyone, with emphasis on individuals with access and functional needs. She also

provides technical assistance to local governments and supports partnering agencies

embedding equity into emergency response plans.



Jumoke is a dedicated advocate for equitable and accessible emergency preparedness.

Driven by a commitment to serving all members of the community, she specializes in

developing inclusive strategies that address the unique needs of individuals with

disabilities and other vulnerable populations in the Commonwealth during disasters.
