Originally from Manhattan NY and a proud Virginian for the last 20 years, Ashley is a dedicated advocate for diversity, inclusion, equity, and opportunity. As a proud Afro-Latina, she brings a deep commitment to fostering connections that empower individuals with disabilities to thrive. A graduate of George Mason University, she joins The Arc of Virginia with over a decade of diverse experience in the medical and public health sectors, having also worked extensively in quality assurance and direct support for individuals with disabilities.

In her new role as Program Coordinator, she is thrilled to lead the statewide Peer Mentor program, focusing on building the vital relationships that connect Mentors and Mentees across the Commonwealth. She is passionate about filling gaps within the community while supporting and facilitating the kind of personal growth that comes from shared experience. When she isn't working to expand advocacy and inclusion, Ashley loves exploring the world with her fiancé, with travels spanning from the landscapes of Iceland to the historic charm of Scotland. She enjoys painting, cooking, and cherishing time with family and friends. One of Ashley's fondest moments from this year was witnessing the journey of the NBA's New York Knicks win their 1st championship title in 53 years with her family.
