Abby, originally from NY moved to Richmond with her husband in 2006 to attend VCU's Graduate Social Work program. She has dedicated her career to advocating for equitable access to resources in various community settings.Committed to fostering self-advocacy at every level, she brings a compassionate person-centered approach to helping support and amplify the voices in the community that aren't often heard as they navigate the path to empowerment and inclusion. As a proud parent to two incredible children, she is deeply committed to ensuring everyone has the opportunity to live their best life. When not working, you'll often find her in her garden, playing with native plants and enjoying being outside. Also an avid music lover, she is drawn to jam bands, like Dave Matthews and Phish.
