Public Health Emergency To Be Extended Again 
The federal Public Health Emergency (PHE) was renewed in April until July 15, 2022. The federal government will notify states 60 days before the end of the PHE. States were not notified 60 days prior to July 15, 2022. This means a PHE extension will be announced prior to July 15, 2022.  

Covid-19 Vaccine and Accommodations 
Vaccine is now available for all people six months of age or older.
If you need special accommodations when going to get your or your child’s vaccination, please reach out to your local health department. To schedule an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine visit or call 1-877-VAX-IN VA (1-877-829-4682) Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ET.

Cardinal Care - name change for CCC Plus and Medallion 4.0
Starting this summer all Medicaid members will be a part of Cardinal Care.  The Cardinal Care program will combine the two managed care programs - CCC Plus and Medallion 4.0 - into one program.  Cardinal Care will continue to offer members the same programs and services, and will not reduce or change any existing coverage. Members can maintain their health plan and do not need to take any action to enroll in Cardinal Care.  View more about Cardinal Care here

How many people are on the DD Waiver WaitList?
As of June 2022, there were 13,725 people on the WaitList.  Of the 13,725 waiting, 2,854 are in Priority Level 1.  

Will there be funding available for people on the DD Waiver Wait List to apply for from the Individual and Family Support Program(IFSP) at the VA Dept. of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS)?
As of July 1, there is no new information to share about the opening of the IFSP application. DBHDS staff are continuing to work on making enhancements to the IFSP-Funding Program.

I have not gotten a renewal application for Medicaid since the Pandemic started.  How can I make sure they have my current contact information?
You do not want to miss important paperwork to maintain your Medicaid eligibility.  NOW is the time to notify Medicaid and update your contact information including mailing address.  Here are the ways you can do that:

When will the 2021 Medicaid Support Payments for Consumer-Directed Attendants be Available?
According to DMAS, June 30, 2022. One-time COVID19 support payments of $1,000 will be made to  Consumer Directed personal care, respite or companion services providers/attendants between July 1, 2021 - Sept. 30, 2021. This is for services provided through EPSDT, DD and CCC Plus Waivers. DMAS expects that the payments will be made by June 30, 2022. For Consumer-Directed, the payments will come from the fiscal agent. For more information contact your fiscal agent.   

Is rental assistance available for adults using Supported Living?
Yes! Rental assistance is now allowed for adults using Supported Living - a DD Waiver Service. If you are interested in rental assistance and Supported Living contact your Support Coordinator/Case Manager. The VA Dept. of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services posted information about this change here.

I am on the DD Waiver Wait List and need a waiver.  What should I do?
Contact your CSB asap. Ask what your Priority Level is. If you are in Priority Level 1 or think that you qualify for Priority Level 1, ask if your application documents have been updated with the new requirements and forms.
